Educate the Children - A Child shall lead them

Educating the children has been a high priority for FETCH. Children can influence the family and eventually the entire community. God has a plan for these children.

It was really nice to see the day school functioning. We are almost at the end of the first year. We have four employees taking care of the school - two teachers, a cook and a security guard. The students come from the neighboring huts to study. It is a big change from walking the streets to find to eat. Lunch is provided for them…one good meal a day

Two class rooms were built on the first floor of the church complex. One room is used for the Kindergarten classes and the other class room is used for the first and second grade. When necessary the area in front of the class rooms is used, as it has another black board there. This area is also used for having lunch.

We thank all the sponsors for helping us start this school. About 50 children go to our school every day and attend Sabbath school. They learn to sing and praise the Lord. They are so happy to perform in front of the church and at our meetings. It is a joy to see what one year of schooling has done for them. They no longer have to beg on the streets. They are happy to study and get at least one good meal a day. Please continue to pray for the school. Each child is a little missionary for their home. The parents are happy with how their children are learning and are being so obedient at home as well. Investment in these children is a wonderful this. $10 a month makes a huge difference in a child’s life. Please continue to pray so that we will be able to keep the school going for years to come.
